Performing a tuneup on an HVAC system without checking the Total External Static Pressure is like going to the doctor for a check-up and them forgetting to take you blood pressure. You can have the most efficient system in the world and it's performance will be terrible if there is too much external static pressure and it can't move the air. Make sure the TESP is tested on EVERY tuneup and EVERY commissioning, this is critical to good performance. 
The SPM-100 is the first smartphone manometer and it actually walks the technician through the steps to take successful TESP tests. It also provides a professional report that can be sent to a customer before and after a tuneup to show the improvement in performance.
